We are the official water polo society at the University of Southampton – one of the only university teams with Swim England affiliation.  We have both men’s and women’s teams which welcome players of all abilities. Training takes place 2-4 times a week, depending on ability, and sessions are led by our qualified level 2 coach. We compete in BUCS, with the women’s team in the Western Tier 1 and the men’s team in South Eastern Tier 1, we also play lots of friendlies and enter local leagues where possible.

SUWPC were awarded Athletic Union Club of the Year 2022, Union Engagement Award in 2023 and the Team Southampton Sport Award in 2024. The women’s team won the BUCS South Eastern Tier 1 league and have been promoted to the Southern Premiership, the men placed 4th in the BUCS South Eastern Tier 1 league and also compete in the Hampshire league.
