SUWPC’s Ladies were scheduled to face Plymouth in what promised to be a competitive fixture, all set make the trip down to Basingstoke, ready to put on a proper BUCS contest.
Unfortunately, Plymouth informed us that they would be unable to field a team, citing the small issue that their university term had already ended. A bold tactical decision, and one that suggests the real challenge lay not in the pool, but in locating a calendar.
With the opposition unavailable, the match was awarded as a walkover. A dominant performance from the home side, featuring exceptional organisation and excellent admin.
Man of the Match:
Elliot Oldham for organising the match
Dick of the Day:
Plymouth’s ability to read a calendar
